Bancroft Hall at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, is the largest single dormitory in the world. Bancroft Hall is home for the entire brigade of 4,000 midshipmen, and contains some 1,700 rooms, 4.8 miles of corridors, and 33 acres of floor space. Originally constructed in 1901, and expanded since then, Bancroft Hall is a National Historic Building. Water penetration was begining to stain the interior ceiling of Smoke Hall located below. EAC was tasked to provide a detailed conceptual analysis of the requirements to improve the functionality of existing deck drains and associated piping located on the Loggia Balcony. A camera survey was conducted which revealed serverly eroded pipes. EAC provided several options, with associated costs, for consideration.
