EAC provided services that demonstrated this renovation project utilizing adaptive reuse and sustainable design.  We also provided A/E services to program, design and produce construction documents for conversion of a laboratory building into a mixed use office and public assembly facility with meeting rooms.  The building was completely gutted and refurbished under this contract.

Space planning and interior design services were provided by EAC to include all common areas, classrooms, assembly spaces, offices, computer rooms and rest rooms.  The building was designed to comply with ADA requirements.  The design included new roof, new finishes, windows and doors and sky lights, signage, HVAC with DDC, lighting, fire alarm and protection systems, communication system wiring, new plumbing and drainage systems, on-site parking, exterior grading and drainage including stormwater management and landscaping.  Underground electric service was upgraded.  Sustainable design features included improving buildings envelope, daylighting, energy efficient lighting and HVAC, and the use of recycled materials.  Construction phase services were provided (Title II).
